Terms and Conditions 

Anyone entering BASE Dance Studios or applying to become a member of PPAS Dance & Performing Arts School ‘PPAS’, is bound by the Company rules and regulations, and may only do so subject to and upon this basis. 

Upon entering BASE Dance Studios for whatsoever reason, the following terms will be understood. The tutors operating at PPAS are independent of the Company, and are not its employees. The activities of the Company are of a physical nature and whether participating in PPAS activities or using the studios or equipment for any activities whatsoever, the Company accepts no liability for any physical injury, loss or damage to persons of property occurring on the premises, whether occasioned by negligence or howsoever otherwise arising.

FEES AND PPAS RULES

  • The registration fee is payable for all new students in addition to the terms fees.

  • All fees are strictly payable in advance; no student is allowed to participate in any classes until their fees have been paid. 

  • There is no reduction for any weeks missed during a term.

  • Any student joining during a term will be charged the registration fee plus the fee for the remainder of the term only.

  • Each term we send out an invoice to the parents/guardian of our students for the following terms fees.

  • This invoice should be returned to the school office with the fees on or before the deadline date (as stated on the invoice). The day after the deadline date we may offer all unclaimed places to those on our waiting lists.

  • The Principal and teachers reserve the right to refuse the entry of any student to a class and may request the removal of a student at any time if it is felt that the Student’s behaviour is unacceptable.

  • Punctuality is of utmost importance, students are asked to arrive at least 10 minutes before the start of the first class.

  • Students should wear comfortable clothes that allow freedom of movement.

  • Class numbers and places are strictly limited. Due to the high demand, students may have to join a waiting list in order to obtain a place.

  • Fees cannot be refunded if a student decides to leave during the course, fees will only be reimbursed if a student has to leave for medical purposes, a Doctor’s letter will be required in these circumstances.

  • Parents are solely responsible for ensuring that the emergency contact details on PPAS’s records are up to date.

  • Students are obliged to take care of their own belongings. PPAS accepts no liability for lost or damaged belongings.

Students in Chunks (3-5 years) and the Junior School (5-10 years) are required to wear a PPAS T shirt, available from PPAS on Sundays. Senior School students are required to wear clothing suitable for movement. All students should wear appropriate footwear.

PPAS expects students to treat staff, tutors and fellow students with respect. Any form of bullying, antisocial or abusive behaviour may result in a student being asked to leave the school.

PPAS reserve the right to use any individual or group photographs or film footage for press or promotional purposes. PPAS will not make such photographs or film footage available of any student who objects or whose parent objects. Objections should be made in writing and sent to the principal. 

Students participate at their own risk and are obliged to inform PPAS and its staff of any existing injuries or medical conditions. All application forms must have any known medical conditions stated and any changes to such information must be communicated to PPAS immediately in writing.

If a student is unwell or has an accident requiring emergency treatment, the parent will be contacted via the emergency contact details provided on the enrolment form. This number must always be contactable whilst the student is attending the PPAS sessions.
